Take the course the right way
You need to spend at least 1 hour a day studying the course. Watch one video and then do a task. Return to this page the next day.
Don’t binge-watch the course videos. They are not designed for infotainment. They take you through a step-by-step process instead.
If you rush through the videos, you’ll get overwhelmed. And then you won’t do the tasks. That’s a problem because you get 90% of results from the tasks.
Commit 💯% to a No PMO experiment
Beating a chronic bad habit like PMO is not easy. But it is doable if you have a No PMO Battle Plan and commitment.
Your No PMO Battle Plan is this course. It will teach you exactly what to do.
But you need the commitment to study the course and do the tasks. Without it, nothing works.
Now commitment is something you need to self-generate. Here are a few ideas:
- Think of how sick you are of PMO. Imagine your life as it keeps getting worse with each year of PMO. And then imagine how amazing you’ll feel PMO-free.
- Read about the science of the dangers of PMO.
- Watch my No PMO motivation videos.
- Remember that you are not alone in this battle. Many people quit PMO already, including myself. You can do it, too.
NEW and Tested No PMO Program
Even if it kills me. That’s my commitment to No PMO. And it transformed my life.
This is the transformation that you will have, too, as long as you complete the course and do the tasks.
The course is not completed by just watching it. It’s not easy but doable. The course is structured to make your self-improvement journey more simple.
When you are done, you’ll be PMO-free. You’ll have more energy. You’ll have better memory and concentration. You will be more social.
I’ve been porn-free since 2014. Now, as long as you set a goal of breaking this habit and commit to it, you will break it, too.
So you already made the decision to quit. That’s actually the most difficult part.
Everything else is easier. And it gets easier every day.
Let’s go.
Your Task
Create your Freedom of PMO Journal—whether on paper or in an app like Evernote.
Journal about your motivating factors:
- What are your biggest reasons for quitting PMO ❓
- Which No PMO benefits do you look forward to ❓
- What kind of compelling future is out there for you ❓
Return to these factors often to remind yourself of why you are doing a No PMO transformation.
Break the Cycle of Porn Addiction
Before we look at the specific steps, let me tell you my story.
I started masturbating when I was around 12.
When I had a girlfriend at 21 or a wife later at 25, I did it less but still did it.
At 27, I hit a very low point in my life and developed a serious addiction to jerking off.
It gave me a quick escape from depression.
But even though that instant gratification felt good, it never lasted.
And it made me even more depressed because I also ended up feeling shame and guilt.
Plus, I hated the feeling of lacking self-discipline and wasting time and energy.
So when I was 31, I said enough and went No PMO.
I’ve been on it for almost 9 years so far.
And I had two short relapses that only reinforced that No PMO is the right thing for me:
- I don’t want to wire my brain to choose porn over real sex.
- I don’t want to feel stressed after masturbation.
- And I want to harness the energy that I otherwise waste on jerking off.
Do you want this for yourself?
I’m a regular guy. That means you can do it, too. Use this Free Porn Detox Course as your step-by-step guide that makes transformation easier.
Your Task
Journal in your Freedom from PMO journal:
- How long will you let your animal brain run your life ❓
- How much time do you waste fapping ❓
- What kind of an impact does a PMO session have on your energy ❓
- How do people feel around you when you are doing PMO ❓
- What else could you be doing instead of PMO ❓
- What is PMO holding you back from ❓
Ultimate Motivation to Heal from PMO
You are Level 0 now:
You feel you have tons of potential but porn addiction is killing it.
You need energy for exercise but PMO is sucking that energy.
You hate wasting your time and productivity on porn.
You are driven and success-oriented but PMO is holding you back.
No PMO will take you to Level 5:
Your brain heals: better concentration and memory.
Zero urges to watch porn.
More confidence and motivation.
More energy (including at the gym).
Some even reported No PMO superpowers. No flying yet, though. 🙂
Then you’ll take your life to Level 30:
Level 10: Be successful in your studies, career, or business.
Level 15: Become better socially and get a girlfriend.
Level 30: What else can you achieve with all this unlocked potential ❓
Your Task
Journal in your Freedom from PMO journal:
- When was a time you really pushed yourself out of your comfort zone and saw your full potential❓
- What kind of success do you want (but PMO is holding you back)❓
- How will you make the world a better place when you are PMO-free ❓
Your No PMO Transformation Plan
First, PMO is a deadly enemy. It will take you down unless you realize it is a battle.
You are in the army now. There’s no running from your enemy.
You need to be militant about your commitment to your No PMO transformation. It means one hour of work on the course every day.
This is your No PMO experiment. You need to stay patient and stay porn-free for at least 30 days to see the benefits. Then you will feel motivated to go porn-free for life.
Second, Like a general creating a strategy, you are creating a No PMO Battle Plan with this course. And you follow it every second of every day.
If you don’t have a plan, you’ll rely on willpower alone, making it unnecessarily difficult for yourself.
Third, you also need a sergeant—an accountability partner who will push you every day. Open up to someone about your addiction so that they can hold you accountable. And send a daily check-in email to me as you are taking the course.
Your Task
Work on your No PMO System as you are taking the course. By the end of the course, you will have a solid system that will ensure no more relapses.
It has three components.
Part 1: Battle plan
No PMO protocol
Replacement habit
Reward for a good streak
Punishment for relapsing
Process pain
PMO-free mission statement
Mental diet
Root cause of porn addiction
No PMO motivation song/video
How will I keep myself busy ❓
How will I work on my social skills ❓
Part 2: Be militant about commitment
What is my biggest reason ❓
What are some additional reasons ❓
Where else could I invest my time and energy instead of PMO ❓
What kind of problems did PMO already create ❓
How do I want my future to look like in five years ❓
How do I know I have way more potential than I am actualizing now ❓
What kind of No PMO benefits do I look forward to ❓
Part 3: Be militant about accountability
Who is my accountability partner that I will check in daily ❓
Who will donate my money as punishment ❓
No PMO Winners Do This First
You need to make two decisions to commit to a No PMO protocol.
First, choose between Small Wins vs Cold Turkey.
Small Wins
“Small Wins” is you setting a realistic streak goal, e.g., 3 days. You accomplish that goal and relapse strategically. You feel proud because you exercised willpower.
And now your willpower is stronger. You can set a longer streak goal, e.g., 5 days. You build your willpower and streak with these small wins. You teach your brain that you are strong and you are in control. You are building a habit of being in control.
Eventually, you will go for 30 days and get amazing benefits. This will motivate you to be porn-free for life.
Cold Turkey
Now, the other approach is “Cold Turkey.” This is you saying I am quitting forever and not counting days.
I respect the resolve that comes with this approach. But I’ve noticed people break that promise too often.
This is a problem because every time you relapse, you send a negative message to your brain. “I am weak and I am not in control.” You are building a habit of relapsing.
The second decision is whether to quit just porn, quit both porn and masturbation, or even do extreme semen retention.
Process
The first 14 days were super difficult because the old habit didn’t want to die. But I pushed myself and after that, it became easier.
I went to 30 days then. I did want to watch porn, but I had the new anti-porn habit in place and was motivated by the benefits of no fapping and no porn that I saw.
At 60 days, I felt a huge brain rewire from porn. Concentration and motivation returned.
At 90 days, I hated the porn industry. (And still do)
Sequence
- Quit porn.
- When your brain healed, quit excessive masturbation. Do it once in a while as a strategic release. I believe that having a controlled release through masturbation is healthy.
- Find a girlfriend and replace what’s left of masturbation with real sex.
Your Task
Journal in your Freedom from PMO journal:
- What is your approach: Small Wins or Cold Turkey ❓
- What is your sequence for quitting watching porn and excessive masturbation ❓
Strong Urge ❓ Do This
When you work on breaking a bad habit, it’s difficult to just drop it.
If you drop it, your brain will literally feel a void, like something’s missing.
And that will make you crave porn even more than you used to.
Instead, you want to give a new habit to your subconscious.
Here’s an example from a client who made it to 100 days on No PMO:
He loves watching this TV show, The Mandalorian.
But the only time he’s watching it now is when he has an urge.
And he’s watching just 10 minutes of it.
This is his new habit in place of the old PMO habit.
It makes it easier for his brain to handle the loss of porn and jerking off.
One reason is the pleasure that he associates with the new habit because he builds anticipation.
That’s how you reinforce the new good habit: you reward yourself for resisting urges.
It can be something instant. In fact, if you do something like watching The Mandalorian as my client does, there’s pleasure already built into it.
But you can also give yourself a more distant reward.
For example, another client rewards himself for a clean week by shopping for new clothes on Sunday.
Your Task
Journal in your Freedom from PMO journal:
- What is your replacement habit ❓
- How will you associate pleasure with this replacement habit (reward yourself) ❓
- How committed are you to doing this new habit every time you have an urge to PMO ❓
Key Strategy for Porn Recovery
You have tons of sexual energy on No PMO. You used to release it with PMO, but now you can’t.
So you’ve got to create a positive outlet for this energy. What I call a “New project.”
Pick a new hobby. I love this one because you’re most creative when you’re horny. Take advantage of that.
Start a new sidekick job. Or even a new career altogether. Learn a new skill such as getting better socially.
You’ll feel excited about this new project. So you won’t even bother about relapsing.
Now make sure that your schedule every day to stay busy with that new project.
A good schedule will leave no headspace for urges.
Your Task
Journal in your Freedom from PMO journal:
- At what time every day will you schedule the next day❓
- Which one hobby can you pick up to keep yourself busy ❓
- What are ten places around your city that you can visit on the weekend❓
Don’t Let Your Phone Run You
Your phone is a trigger. You taught your animal brain that every time you grab it, it gives you pleasure.
You are lying to yourself that you will be on the phone just for a few minutes. Instead, you get lost in mindless watching.
This device is made to keep you on it all the time. It is outsmarting you.
You need to break the PMO cycle by outsmarting your smartphone.
Keep it as far away from you as possible. Make it difficult to grab it. You won’t get triggered.
Don’t grab it at bedtime and when you wake up. Read a book or meditate instead.
Your Task
Journal in your Freedom from PMO journal:
- Where will you keep your phone at night ❓
- How can you minimize having the phone on you during the day ❓
- What are some alternatives to the activities you do on your phone such as social media ❓
Why You Can’t Release the Grip of Porn
I know you don’t want to relapse but let’s face it—you might.
And you’re going to use each relapse as an opportunity to teach your brain to dislike relapsing. You do this by punishing yourself.
One of my coaching clients cooked pasta and gave it to a colleague whom he disliked.
Another guy told himself to wash the floors immediately after relapsing. He never did, by the way, because he’s never relapsed and he has been on No PMO for 2+ years so far.
The key here is exercising the discipline to actually apply the punishment. As long as you do it, your brain will start associating pain with relapses rather than pleasure.
Next thing you know, you won’t want to relapse.
Your Task
Journal in your Freedom from PMO journal:
- How will you associate pain with relapsing ❓
- How committed are you to applying punishment every time you relapse❓
Do This → No PMO for Life
When you do PMO, you feel like a loner. You feel isolated. You feel alone in combatting this problem.
I know how it feels. This is what kept me from getting a girlfriend in my golden years—from 16 to 21.
You are disengaged in your social interactions. You are afraid of what people think of you.
If you don’t break this negative cycle now, things will get worse. You will feel being run by porn addiction.
You’ll stay at home for days checking updates from your favorite sites. You will lose all desire to talk to other people.
Stop it now! Start talking to people. Approach strangers. Talk to girls. Go out and have fun.
This is one of the best No PMO strategies because you will focus on building social skills. No mental bandwidth left for PMO.
And finally, when you get a girlfriend, you’ll forget about PMO. It will seem like a joke compared to the real thing.
Your Task
Journal in your Freedom from PMO journal:
- When and how will you learn the theory of social skills ❓
- When and how will your practice social skills❓
- Who will be your coach or mentor in developing social skills❓
Secret to Breaking Free from Porn
You need to change what you believe about porn and masturbation. Now you believe that this habit brings you pure pleasure.
Instead, start thinking about the pain that comes with it. Here’s how I did it.
I identified an old belief:
“PMO makes me feel great whenever I feel depressed or bored.”
Sounds too good to be true, right ❓ So I came up with these replacement beliefs:
- The raw, carnal pleasure I get is really short-lasting.
- Something I have to hide from others can’t be good for me.
- I develop erectile dysfunction.
- Porn makes sex look so perfect that I don’t get aroused by “real life” sex.
- When I am free from it, I’ll have more time and energy for the things that I enjoy.
That’s my example. Now find new beliefs that make sense to you and write them down. Perfect!
Keep them in front of you and affirm them throughout the day.
The best time to do it is when you are in a peak state.
For example, a peak state for me is in a sauna because I feel ecstatic there.
Whatever I do in that peak state gets associated with the pleasure that I feel.
And this creates a strong neuro-association in my mind.
Finally, keep reading or watching No PMO and personal growth materials to reinforce your new beliefs.
It’s a mental diet that reminds you why this is important to you.
- YouTube videos. Use the hashtag “NoFap” or “no pmo.” He Is Hero channel is one example.
- Reddit: “pornfree” and “NoFap”.
- Blogs. My No PMO blog is one example.
This diet reminds you why No PMO is important to you.
Your Task
Journal in your Freedom from PMO journal:
- What is your PMO-free mission statement ❓ (One sentence)
- What is your PMO-free affirmation ❓
- What is your No PMO motivation song ❓
- Which books will you read to reprogram your mind❓
- Which podcasts will you listen to feed a positive diet to your mind ❓
- Which YouTube channels will you follow for motivation❓
Real Cause of Porn Addiction
Addiction is like a tree. Branches and leaves are what you see in a tree.
And with porn addiction what you see is the behavior you are addicted to.
But there’s more to a tree. You don’t see what’s causing the branches and leaves to grow
It is the roots. This is the real power behind the tree.
With addiction, there’s also a root. A root cause of the addiction.
And to break free, you need to become aware of that root cause.
Now, the challenge is that you keep thinking about the addiction itself. And you don’t have any time or energy or headspace to see that root cause—a bigger problem.
A key step is to push yourself to step away from porn addiction at least for a few days.
It’s the hardest part, I know.
But after you pushed yourself to do it, you think about porn less often. You see that you need addiction to cover up the root cause.
You have the time, energy, and headspace to dig for the root cause.
And to work on resolving that psychological deficit.
Your Task
Journal in your Freedom from PMO journal:
- Which insights do you have about your psychological deficit as you do No PMO❓
- How can you recover from your psychological deficit ❓
- What’s the first step toward recovering from your psychological deficit❓
No PMO Success You Always Wanted
Congratulations❗You did it.
You created your No PMO System. You now have a replacement habit that you do instead of PMO.
You reward yourself intentionally for being PMO-free.
You know your psychological deficit and work on fixing it.
It’s not rocket science. I am a regular guy and I did it. So can you.
You remind yourself of your potential every day and work on actualizing it. You took this course because you are aware of this potential. You know that wasting it on PMO is wrong.
You actually have a responsibility to your ancestors who have been improving the gene pool. Now it’s your turn.
You feel like a hero. You are not a victim of your biological urges anymore.
It is my pleasure and privilege to be guiding you on this journey. You are my hero 🦸
I’ll wrap up with this quote:
“Nothing must interfere with the development of the hero inside you. And if lust stands in the way, then it, too, must be overcome.”
Friedrich Nietzsche
